Job summary

The Prep Cook – LoLa 41 is part of Lola Hospitality's back-of-house team, ensuring ingredients are ready for service and the kitchen remains orderly and safe. The role focuses on prep duties, organization, and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

You will support chefs during service, stock and label items, and help uphold a professional kitchen culture. Opportunities for growth exist within a rapidly expanding hospitality group.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related kitchen or prep experience.
• Ability to work weekends and additional shifts as needed.
• Must be able to stand for long shifts and maintain food safety practices.

About The Role

The Prep Cook is a critical part of our back‑of‑house team, responsible for preparing ingredients and supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role ensures that all food items are ready for service and that our kitchen maintains the highest standards of organization, cleanliness, and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine kitchen duties according to established prep lists
• Label, store, and organize ingredients in designated storage areas
• Ensure proper food preservation and storage techniques to prevent spoilage
• Stock, clean, and organize kitchen utensils and equipment
• Inspect and sanitize food preparation areas to maintain a safe kitchen environment
• Assist chefs and line cooks as needed during service
• Support a clean, efficient, and professional kitchen culture

Requirements

• At least 1 year of related kitchen or prep experience
• Ability to work weekends, with additional weekday and weekend shifts as neededAttention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to food safety
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for long shifts
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support the kitchen wherever needed
