Job description

Join to apply for the Prep cook role at Ruth's Chris Steak House.

This is a full-time or part-time position in the Food & Restaurant industry, suitable for entry-level candidates. Night, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.

Responsibilities
  1. Report to work as scheduled, in correct uniform, maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
  2. Obtain station assignments at the start of each shift and perform opening and closing duties as directed by the Manager.
  3. Maintain sanitation and food safety standards throughout the shift, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents immediately.
  4. Assist kitchen personnel in food preparation and sidework, following Ruth's Chris recipes and procedures.
  5. Prepare and cook food items to meet quality standards, ensuring proper timing and presentation for a superior guest experience.
  6. Check stock levels of ingredients, condiments, and supplies before shifts, communicating discrepancies to the Chef.
  7. Season, cook, and plate all food products according to company standards.
  8. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
  9. Restock supplies as needed to meet business demands.
  10. Adhere to all safety guidelines, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.

Note: Nights, weekends, and holidays are required shifts.
