Job summary

PeopleReady in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Prep Cook to join our team. You will prepare and cook food according to recipes, test dishes for proper preparation, and store foods at correct temperatures to ensure freshness. You will operate blenders, knives, and ovens, while keeping the work area clean and meeting sanitation standards.

Shift options are available; applicants must be 18+ and have prep cooking experience. Training for food handler or ServSafe may be provided.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $15 - $15 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Prep Cook:

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes


• Test foods to determine if they are prepared and cooked correctly


• Store food at correct temperatures to ensure freshness


• Utilize blenders, cutlery, and ovens to prepare food


• Make sure area is clean and all quality and sanitation standards are met, including cold and hot storage

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady


• Prep cooking experience preferred


• Good knife skills and knowledge of food preparation


• Possess a valid food handler's card or ServSafe certification - our branch will help provide this training
