The Walker Group is seeking an experienced Prep Cook to join our kitchen team in West Valley City, Utah. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes for guests, maintaining quality and consistency. You should be detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple prep tasks, and maintain a clean, organized walk‑in.

Qualifications

• Previous prep cook experience preferred.
• Attention to detail required.
• Teachable with willingness to learn and grow.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification preferred (or willing to obtain).
• Strong communication skills for team and guests.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs as needed.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, and surfaces to ensure sanitary practices.
• Ensure freshness of ingredients through rotation and labeling in the walk-in.
• Taste and adjust prep to ensure proper seasoning and quality.
• Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism.
• Communicate with the incoming shift about items to complete or prioritize.
