Job summary

Williams College is seeking a Prep & Service Attendant for Whitman’s Dining to support daily food preparation and fast, friendly service on campus. This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly, a schedule 6:00 am–2:30 pm Sunday through Thursday, and a competitive hourly wage of $21.00–$23.00, with overtime and shift differentials where applicable.

You will assist with washing, peeling, cutting, sandwich making, short order cooking, labeling for allergens, and maintaining clean service areas;

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily food preparation and production, including washing, peeling, and cutting foods, making sandwiches, and short order cooking.
• Maintain service areas and equipment during meal periods; clean and sanitize as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assist with orders, and represent Dining Services professionally.
• Label all food items for allergens using FSS, Net Nutrition, and Bartender programs.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines, MA Code regulations, inventory control, and sanitation.
• Promote environmental practices and Lean Path initiatives; complete training and daily cleaning schedules.

Join our dedicated culinary team at Williams College! We're seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Prep & Service Attendant to join us in Whitman’s Dining to assist in delivering high-quality food service to our campus community.Pay: Ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.Position: 40 hours weekly, 12-months per yearLocation: Mission Park Dining HallShift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off.This position is eligible for premium pay, including overtime and applicable shift differentials. For work performed during holidays, weekends, emergency snow response, and other qualifying shifts.
