Qualifications

• 1 year nursing experience in acute care, perioperative, or medical office setting.
• Florida RN license or eligible for licensure upon hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification upon hire.
• Ability to follow hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preoperative nursing assessments and review medical history and medications.
• Identify findings requiring further evaluation and escalate with anesthesia providers and surgeons.
• Provide preoperative education to patients and families on procedure preparation and post‑operative expectations.
• Review and verify completion of preoperative documentation and outside records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized preoperative plans of care and ensure patient readiness.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold licensure requirements and patient safety.
