Job summary
Baptist Surgery Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to deliver comprehensive patient care through preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. You will participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating care for surgical patients, while maintaining documentation and communicating with the team.
The role requires nursing licensure, graduation from an accredited program, and current ACLS/BLS certifications.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License.
- Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the nursing process in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Assess physiological and psychosocial health status and pain per policy.
- Document thoroughly in patient records and communicate with the care team.
- Assist with surgical procedures, site identification and counting, and sterile technique.
- Respond to emergencies and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
