Job summary

Tenet-AZ Region in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Preoperative for ongoing staff work in a fast-paced hospital unit. The RN will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and supervise junior staff as needed.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, ensuring safety, and participating in hourly rounding. State licensure as an AZ RN, CPR, ACLS/PALS as applicable, and BSN preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• AZ RN license and CPR required; ACLS/PALS as applicable by department.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience in perioperative or related settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Supervises other healthcare staff and delegates tasks.
• Performs hourly rounding and ensures patient safety.
• Assesses, plans, and implements individualized patient care.
• May be in charge for a shift as needed.
