Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Preoperative PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN PACU provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies.

The RN PACU delivers safe, effective perioperative care and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Strong teamwork and communication with staff, patients, and physicians are essential in this fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted Florida license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–5 years' experience in PreOp/PACU; ambulatory setting preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using the nursing process and medical plan of care.
• Deliver safe, family-centered perioperative nursing in PreOp and PACU for all patient populations.
• Support the mission, vision, and values of Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center.
• Report to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Job Summary

• The RN PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• The RN PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

• Ophthalmology
• Orthopedics
• Urology
• Pain Management services.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Florida
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-5 years' previous experience in PreOp/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS, and PALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to the changing condition of the patient when needed
