Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: A minimum of a Master’s degree in advanced nursing practice is required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current and clear license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
• Certification in CPR and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical evaluations for pre-surgical patients, including ordering and interpreting labs and diagnostics.
• Evaluate, diagnose and/or treat acute and chronic conditions to optimize patients prior to surgery.
• Educate patients on pre-operative instructions, anesthesia techniques, pre-operative processes and post-operative pain management.
• Bridge between patients and primary care physicians to ensure coordinated care.
