Job summary

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Katy is seeking a motivated PreOp RN to join our team. We perform outpatient surgical procedures across ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Plastic, and Urology.

The candidate should be available Monday-Friday with some early mornings and later evenings, no holidays or weekends, subject to surgical schedule. The RN will plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for pre- and post-surgical patients, ensuring safety and quality while

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• 3–5 years' experience as an RN in PreOp; endoscopy preferred.
• Currently licensed in the state of TX.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS / PALS preferred or included in education plan.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for pre- or post-surgical patients.
• Ensure highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with standards.
• Maintain compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards.
• Care for patients from 1 month to geriatric.

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Katy is seeking a motivated PreOp RN to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Plastic, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary:

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for all ages from 1 month to geriatric.

Required Skills
