Job summary

RN II at Medical University of South Carolina performs patient assessments and chart reviews to aid preoperative optimization before surgery. Provides nursing care using the nursing process and leads team members while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure age-appropriate care.

Minimum qualifications include BSN preferred; RN with ADN must enroll in BSN within two years and obtain BSN within four years. Licensure in SC or compact state and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN with an Associate or Diploma in nursing must be enrolled in BSN program within two years and finish within four years.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and chart reviews.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and lead team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide age-appropriate care.
• Promote patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural needs.
