Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala seeks an experienced RN to provide comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and administer medications with strict adherence to safety protocols. You will monitor responses, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.

This PRN day-shift role requires strong organization, English communication, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electromagnetic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
