Job summary

Westgate Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, seeks a PACU RN to provide continuous nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia. The role supports preop and PACU care with emphasis on patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

The RN will assist physicians in procedure rooms, manage conscious sedation tasks, and perform post-anesthesia assessment, planning, and discharge preparation as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from anesthesia and plan discharge.
