Job summary

Westgate Surgery Center is seeking an experienced RN Pre-Assessment Testing Nurse to deliver continuity and high-quality care across all patient care stages. The role includes monitoring patients, assisting with procedures and sedation, and ensuring safe discharge planning from anesthesia.

Qualified candidates will be graduates of an accredited RN program with an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and ideally 2 years in PACU or critical care, plus strong nursing judgment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition and safety.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement and evaluate for discharge prep.
