Job summary

The Outpatient Center at Boynton Beach is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, safe nursing care for patients before and after anesthesia. You will monitor patient conditions, assist during procedures, and ensure comfort and privacy while supporting the care team.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient readiness for discharge, coordinating with physicians and staff, and delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting in sunny Florida.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in Florida.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and nursing judgment.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients undergoing preop/postop care.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile techniques.
• Provide total care to patients emerging from anesthesia; assess, plan, implement and evaluate discharge readiness.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy.
