Valley Health is hiring a Registered Nurse II for the Preop/PACU on the Ambulatory Surgical Unit in Winchester, VA. The role emphasizes accurate nursing assessment, planning and education, with leadership responsibilities as Charge Nurse when needed.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• RN license in Virginia or WV (or NLC multi-state license) is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS for Labor & Delivery within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, evaluation, and documentation.
• Provide effective communication, teamwork and leadership within the unit.
• Direct patient teaching and participate in quality/safety initiatives.
• Support activities of health team personnel and act as Charge Nurse when assigned.
