Job summary

Synergy Surgery Center in San Diego is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse for a full-time role. The RN will provide total patient care from preoperative through PACU, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy, with potential involvement in conscious sedation and sterile technique as needed.

The center emphasizes orthopedic surgery with modern facilities and a team-oriented environment. Qualifications include CA nursing license, CPR/ACLS/PALS, and at least 2 years of PACU or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Current CA Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years experience in PACU or hospital setting
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrates accountability and professionalism plus openness to change
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and manage surgical patients effectively
• Understands aseptic technique and implementation
• Care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
• Excellent teaching skills
• Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous nursing care for patients from PreOp to PACU with safety and privacy.
• May assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient status post-anesthesia.
• Ensure discharge readiness and provide family education and support.
