Job summary

United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a PreOP/PACU RN for a full-time role with potential cross-training in preop, intraoperative, and postoperative care, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The PreOp/PACU RN delivers continuous nursing care, monitors patient status, assists with area procedures and sedation, plans discharge, and collaborates with physicians to ensure safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions with nursing judgment and to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients in PreOp/PACU with evaluation of patient condition and safety.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile techniques.
• Perform post-anesthesia care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and discharge planning for patients and families.
