Job summary

Endoscopy Center of Bergen County is seeking a per diem PreOp/PACU RN to provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients undergoing procedures, with vigilant assessment, safety, and comfort from admission through discharge.

The ideal candidate must hold an active NJ RN license and be a graduate of an accredited RN program, with BLS/ACLS; PALS if required. Per diems include 6–8 shifts monthly and compensation ranges from $48 to $50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Care for patients emerging from anesthesia, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the perioperative period.

Endoscopy Center of Bergen County is hiring a per diem PreOp/PACU RN

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The RN may assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate. The RN also provides total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

PRN Requirement

6–8 shifts per month

Pay Range

$48.00 – $50.00 per hour (wages determined based upon a number of factors, including but not limited to an individual's qualifications and experience)
