Job summary

Toms River Surgery Center in New Jersey is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia, with attention to safety and comfort in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Ideal candidates hold an active NJ RN license, possess BLS/ACLS, and have PACU or Critical Care experience. Strong clinical judgment and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms and maintain sterile techniques.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in preparation for discharge.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Toms River Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
