Job summary

Toms River Surgery Center in New Jersey seeks a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide continuous, high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation. You will monitor patient conditions, ensure safety, comfort, and privacy, and assist in recovery activities.

Active RN license in NJ, BLS/ACLS, PACU or Critical Care experience preferred. Strong communication and the ability to prioritize workload are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Continuously evaluate patient condition, safety, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks and sedation as needed.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at Toms River Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state of New Jersey
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
