Job summary

Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center in Dallas seeks a Manager Nursing PreOp PACU to lead the Pre op and PACU teams, ensuring high-quality, efficient patient care. Responsibilities include staffing, policy adherence, and staff development within a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Ideal candidate has RN licensure with ADN or higher, PACU/ICU/surgery experience, and current BCLS, ACLS (and PALS if required). Opportunity for growth within HCA Healthcare network.

Qualifications

• RN license active as required by state of employment.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher.
• BCLS certification upon employment; online not acceptable.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire; PALS if required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all pre op and PACU areas of care.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with the Administrator.
• Ensure day-to-day operations follow center policies and clinical practice standards.
• Ensure staffing daily by notifying team of scheduling changes.
• Participate in monitoring and evaluation of nursing care.
• Provide breaks and coverage for meal breaks, late cases, and shortages.
• Monitor materials in the clinical area to ensure supplies are available.
• Facilitate efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Delegate, coach, mentor and handle conflict resolution with the team.
• Build trust and earn respect through effective leadership.
