Job summary

Medical City Healthcare is seeking a Manager of Nursing Operations to lead Surgical Hospital Alliance services across Med/Surg Inpatient, Pre-Op/PACU, Surgery, Cath Lab, IR, Radiology, Lab and Pharmacy. Under ACNO supervision, you will apply best practices to optimize patient flow, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and assure bed access.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, RN license in Texas, 3 years of management (5 preferred), BLS/ACLS, and a track record of fiscal stewardship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas or Compact State.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Apply best practices and evidence-based knowledge to facilitate optimal patient flow.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to achieve favorable patient outcomes.
• Respond to occupancy bed demands with action-oriented steps to maintain acute bed access.
• Ensure compliance with Texas Board of Nursing and hospital policies.
• Develop and oversee high-quality, cost-effective nursing programs within the surgical hospital services.
• Ensure efficient throughput across the continuum of care.
• Support the CNO in delivering quality patient care and fiscal stewardship.
• Lead and manage all functions within the nursing operations scope.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory issues impacting healthcare delivery.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across Med/Surg Inpatient, Pre-Op/PACU, Surgery, Cath Lab, IR, Radiology, Lab and Pharmacy.
