Job summary

North Springs Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PreOp PACU Nurse to deliver safe postoperative care in an ambulatory setting. You will help prepare the care area, monitor patients, manage IV lines, and perform comprehensive assessments under established policies.

The role requires an RN license, 1+ year clinical nursing experience, and certifications (BCLS, ACLS; PALS if required). PRN schedule supports flexible hours at a busy center.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher required.
• Active RN license required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification required at hiring; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire; PALS if required by facility within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' care area with equipment and supplies as needed.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and other parameters per policy.
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and operative sites and report abnormalities.
• Provide a safe, comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure discharge criteria are met.
