Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a PreOp PACU Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who demonstrates our company's values by caring like family. You will ensure safe and effective postoperative nursing care until the patient is dismissed. Your expertise will help our center continue its legacy of employing nurses who contribute to our mission and vision.

What you will do in this role:

• Prepare patient care areas and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are provided.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks properly.
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluations using approved scoring systems, in line with policy.
• Check dressings and operative sites, reporting abnormalities.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.

Qualifications you will need:

• Associate Degree in Nursing, RN Diploma, or higher in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in Preop, PACU, Pain, GI, ER, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state.
• BCLS Certification (online not acceptable).
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• PALS certification if required by the facility within 30 days.
