Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center – Presurgical Testing is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time, 40‑hour week. You will apply the nursing process to assess and plan patient care, monitor conditions, and collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes in a fast-paced unit.

Minimum requirements include RN license and BLS; BSN is preferred. Expect 8a‑5p Mon‑Fri shifts, ongoing education, and commitment to safety and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• RN license active and in good standing per state requirements.
• BSN preferred for this role; 1 year of clinical nursing experience may be required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR.
• Maintain safety practices and promote a culture of safety.
• Provide age-appropriate care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
