Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II to perform cosmetic inspections, final quality checks, and advanced reconditioning such as paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing to ensure every vehicle meets CarMax standards.

You will work at our West Point, Virginia location, lift up to 50 lbs, read and record data for inventory and quality control, and collaborate with teammates to deliver customer-ready vehicles and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Completion of CarMax training programs, online and hands-on modules.
• Ability to read, interpret, and record data for inventory and quality control.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute standardized cosmetic reconditioning processes to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Perform advanced cosmetic repairs including paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing to CarMax standards.
• Complete cosmetic and final quality inspections to ensure customer-ready vehicles.
• Identify defects and determine repair methods for optimal results.
• Support auction preparation and assist with vehicle movement on and off the lot.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and collaborate with team members to meet goals.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
