Job summary

Symbiotic Services in Conover, NC, seeks an upholstery specialist to fabricate fabric and leather furniture from frame to finish. You will follow production instructions, match materials to frames, and secure components with staple guns, drills, and air tools, performing quality inspections along the way.

Qualifications

• Must be able to physically perform repetitive tasks for long shifts.
• Ability to inspect and correct stitching, seams and leather/fabric defects.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in upholstery work.

Responsibilities

• Upholster fabric and leather furniture.
• Secure materials using staple guns, air ratchets, and drills.
• Match cover materials to appropriate furniture frames.
• Upholster all frame components according to specifications.
• Read and follow production instructions including leg color, welt, tack, springs, and other requirements.
• Correct defects such as crooked seams or staple inconsistencies.
• Perform visual quality inspections on completed work.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
