Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport, located in Renton, seeks a friendly Restaurant Server to greet guests, take orders, and present food and beverage options. You will contribute to a high-quality dining experience by sharing menu knowledge, making recommendations, and engaging guests with your service style.

Responsibilities include restaurant prep and maintaining a sanitary environment, with opportunities for career growth within the Hyatt brand.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain local food handlers and alcohol serving permits prior to being placed on the work schedule.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills for menu presentation, promotions, engaging with guests, and interacting with colleagues.
• Confidence in knowledge of menu and beverage offerings.
• Attention to detail in all aspects of the role (service, pre/post shift work, cash handling).
• Ability to foster a positive working relationship with departmental and support role colleagues to enhance teamwork.
• Minimum of one-year previous F&B serving experience in either fine dining to family style dining.
• Knowledge of POS and reservations systems.
• Available to work all shifts.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight (35-50 pounds).
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Submit guest menu selections and present food and beverage preferences.
• Gain menu knowledge and provide recommendations from our cuisine and drink offerings.
• Engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by your style and service attributes.
• Perform general restaurant preparation and maintain a sanitary environment.
