Job summary

InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is seeking a friendly host/hostess to welcome guests, seat them, and manage reservations in the bustling dining room. You will work closely with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service and guest satisfaction.

The role requires basic reading, writing, and math skills and at least 6 months of food service experience. Expect mixed shifts, potential nights/weekends, and opportunities to Upsell and contribute to a high-energy guest experience.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and seat them, balancing workloads among servers.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments to ensure quality service.
• May process reservations and answer service calls; practice upselling techniques.
• Clear and reset tables and assist with opening tasks as needed.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests when they arise.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
