Job summary

Radiology Associates of Hartford PLLC seeks a Float Tech to perform radiographic, mammography, and biopsy imaging with independent judgment under radiologist supervision. You will follow CT protocols, manage patient safety, and ensure accurate exam info and coding while supporting a fast-paced imaging team.

You will use digital mammography, 3D tomosynthesis, and biopsy guidance tools, maintaining MQSA and ACR compliance while delivering compassionate patient care and smooth department workflow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent.
• Current ARRT and Connecticut certification to practice medical radiography.
• Complete required continuing education hours per certification/annual period.
• CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow directives from radiologists and managers to perform position functions.
• Address patients, staff, and visitors in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Provide PPE to patients in accordance with safety standards.
• Operate radiographic and mammography equipment per policy and statutory guidelines.
• Calculate technical factors based on patient age and condition.
• Prepare and position patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
