Qualifications

• High School or equivalent, Hy‑Vee food safety training. Over one year of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail meat department environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, friendly customer service and treats customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers and learns names when possible.
• Cuts, tenderizes, grinds merchandise and prepares cutting lists for case fills.
• Monitors refrigeration for proper temperatures and maintains hygiene standards.
• Reports to work on schedule and collaborates with team to ensure customer satisfaction.
