NEIS, LLC has been a leader in the insurance audit and loss prevention industry since 1945 and is seeking a Premium Auditor to join our growing team. The Premium Auditor examines the financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. The role involves looking for evidence of fraud and verifying adherence to regulations. The position is remote, with required daily travel to audit locations, averaging 2-4 days per week within your territory.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by reviewing policyholder records and applying manual rules and standards.
2. Prepare for audits by identifying necessary information and records.
3. Create schedules to optimize time management.
4. Coordinate with insured clients via phone, email, and mail to set up audits.
5. Examine policyholder records, gather data, determine correct classifications, and describe operations effectively.
6. Complete audit documentation, explain results to insured clients, and communicate findings to the home office.
7. Travel to multiple audit locations regularly.

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent plus two years of premium audit experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Visual Audit is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with customers and staff.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary for experienced auditors ranges from $46.00 to $48.00 per billable hour.
• For trainees, a weekly stipend of up to $750 during training, plus mileage and bonuses; post-training, pay shifts to production-based, typically $44-$46 per billable hour.
