Job summary

California Closets of Richmond, VA is seeking an Installer to construct, erect, install, and repair custom storage systems based on provided designs. Training is provided and the role uses laminate wood, edge-banding, and hardware with hand and power tools.

Full-time position, Monday through Thursday shift, with overtime and bonus opportunities. Medical and dental benefits, 401k with company match, paid vacation and monthly bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Entry level, experience with common hand and power tools.
• Cabinetry or carpentry skills and/or experience installing offices to furniture quality level finishes.
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
• Maintain a strong work ethic.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install closets, cabinets, offices and other spaces in homes or commercial buildings.
• Use CAD drawings/blueprints to properly install systems.
• Assist at helper/apprentice level with product installation procedures.
• Install shelves, adjust hampers, fit fillers and scribe moldings.
• Install and adjust doors and drawer stacks; install Slat wall systems and flooring systems.
• Transport to job sites and maintain company vehicle in safe condition.
• Promote a 4-day work week schedule with over time opportunities.
• Provide a quality finish and customer satisfaction at project close.
