Job summary

Hammer & Nails Avon seeks a licensed barber to deliver barbering and grooming services in a premium, hospitality-led environment. You will consult with guests, perform haircuts, beard work, shaving, and related services, while maintaining sanitation and accurate service records.

Responsibilities include maintaining guest records, upselling home-care products, and participating in team education and safety training.

Qualifications

Current, active Connecticut barber license in good standing.
Demonstrated proficiency in barbering consultation, cutting, fading, styling, beard work, and sanitation.
Ability to use booking/POS and guest-record systems after training.

Responsibilities

Consult with guests about desired result and plan before starting.
Perform barbering services with high technical quality within licensed scope.
Decline or pause services when contraindications or safety risks exist; involve management when needed.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of station and tools; follow infection-control practices.
Record service notes and guest preferences in the approved system.
