Job description

NEIS, LLC has been a leader in the insurance audit and loss control prevention industry since 1945 and is seeking a Premium Auditor as we continue to grow our team.

Premium Auditors examine the financial records of businesses insured by commercial property and casualty insurers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Your primary responsibilities include investigating for fraud and verifying adherence to these regulations. The role is based from home with required daily travel to audit locations, averaging 2-4 days per week within your assigned territory.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile policies by reviewing policyholder’s records and applying manual rules and company standards.
  • Prepare for audits by identifying necessary information and types of records needed.
  • Create schedules to optimize time management.
  • Communicate with insured via phone, email, and mail to set up audit appointments.
  • Examine policyholder’s records, gather data to determine correct classifications for business activities, and describe operations effectively.
  • Complete audit documentation, explain results to insured, and communicate findings to the home office.
  • Travel to multiple audit locations on a daily/weekly basis.
Job Requirements:
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent plus two years of premium auditing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial documents.
  • Proficiency in PC applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Visual Audit is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and staff.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

  • Weekly stipend up to $750 during training, plus mileage and production bonuses. Post-training, pay shifts to $40-$45 per billable hour.
