Job summary

Frankenmuth Insurance in Raleigh, NC is seeking a premium auditor to assess financial and operational characteristics of commercial operations and determine earned premium on coverage and auditable exposures.

Under supervision, you will conduct phone or on-site audits, verify payroll and sales data, ensure proper classing for all lines, and maintain strong relationships with agents and insureds. Candidates with related experience and AIS certification are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Conduct phone and/or physical premium audits to ensure payroll and sales figures are accurately tabulated against policy estimates for premium determination.
  • Demonstrate that the insured is classified appropriately for all lines of business being audited.
  • Investigate and verify the premium base exposures according to policy terms, manual rules, company filings, and procedures; select best audit options for insured.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with agents, insureds, and coworkers; communicate by telephone, email and written correspondence.
  • Research, develop, and update procedures by compiling and entering data for reviews/reports and systems to ensure audit process consistency.
  • May provide leadership to junior staff through guidance and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

  • Research, develop, and update procedures by compiling and entering data for reviews/reports and systems to ensure consistency within the audit process.
  • May provide leadership to junior staff through guidance and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

Valid Driver’s License
