Pillinger Miller Tarallo, LLP is seeking an experienced Premises General Liability Attorney for its New York metro area presence. The role involves defending premises liability matters, handling cases from inception through resolution or trial, and meeting the firm’s annual billing hours requirement.

Ideal candidates bring a JD, NY Bar admission, 3+ years of defense litigation experience, and strong skills in litigation, research, and case management.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• 3+ years of experience in premises/general liability defense litigation.
• Strong litigation and case management skills.
• Proven trial or trial-prep experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Defend premises liability matters for property owners, management companies, and businesses.
• Independently manage a full caseload from inception through trial or settlement.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct depositions, site inspections, and legal research.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Collaborate with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to develop case strategies.
