Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
• Knowledge of behavioral and developmental stages of children and childcare licensing requirements.
• Ability to manage a classroom with strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills; patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschoolers.
• Create a warm, welcoming classroom where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to learn through play.
• Incorporate language-rich activities, storytelling, and early literacy into daily routines to build communication skills.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of the classroom and materials.
• Communicate openly with parents, sharing updates on child development.
