Job summary

Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our team. The role involves managing a developmentally appropriate program for preschool children and meeting Illinois Early Learning Standards. The Pre-K position is contingent on funding.

This full-time, year-round position runs 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with starting hourly wages based on qualifications (BA/Cert or MA) and dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical and criminal background check.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Experience with preschool children preferred.
• Ability to lift children.

Responsibilities

• Manage the classroom and carry out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child and align with Illinois Early Learning Standards.
• Collaborate with staff to support children's learning and well-being.

Requirements

• Illinois Early Childhood Professional Educator License (EC PEL)
• Experience with preschool children preferred
• Ability to lift children

• Ability to practice civility at all times.
