Job summary

Soliant Health in Cullman, Alabama is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a maternity leave contract. This full-time position serves a PreK caseload and begins mid-October, offering valuable experience in a school setting helping young children develop essential communication skills.

You will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with teachers and families, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings to support inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current or eligible state licensure as an SLP.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in school settings, especially with PreK populations, is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in assessment, intervention, and documentation practices for pediatric speech and language disorders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for PreK students to determine needs and eligibility.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student progress and inclusive learning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
• Provide communication strategies and support for both students and classroom staff.
