Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Paraeducator Level II for the PreK/PEP program, 70 hours bi-weekly (.875). The para supports students with IEPs ages 3-5 and will collaborate with the Special Education PreK teacher and KFICCC staff.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred); CDA or equivalent experience with publicly funded preK. Pay ranges from $26.23 to $40.17 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• CDA credential or equivalent experience in preK programs.
• Experience with students with IEPs preferred.
• Two years in a structured educational setting acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and classroom support to students with IEPs ages 3-5.
• Collaborate with teachers and KFICCC staff to implement instructional plans.
• Assist with behavioral, social, and academic goals.
• Support students in general education and specialized settings.
