Job summary

Pleasantdale Elementary is seeking a Pre-K Paraprofessional to support teachers and students in the classroom and community. The role focuses on implementing high academic expectations and collaborating with team members, with strong written and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities include delivering small group and individualized instruction, assisting with classroom management, and aiding in assessments and material preparation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of college courses completed with GPA 2.0 or higher from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university.
• High school diploma/GED and a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment is required.
• Must obtain valid Professional Standards Commission approved paraprofessional certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction to students.
• Assist teachers with daily classroom management activities to promote an effective learning environment.
• Assist teachers with assessment of student performance and other recordkeeping tasks.
• Assist teachers with development and organization of instructional materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
