Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District in Phoenix is seeking a CE Childcare Associate I - PreK & Mascot at Copper Canyon Elementary School. This 9-month, 6-hour/day position runs from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and pays Grade 15, $16.48/hour.

Non-Interim Position. You will support the instructional program, monitor student behavior, and relay observations to teachers and parents. Responsibilities include assisting in personal care needs, preparing materials, and maintaining a safe classroom.

Qualifications

• SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills.
• KNOWLEDGE of basic math, following instructions, and multi-step instructions.
• ABILITY to schedule activities, communicate, and work with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid and provides immediate care for ill or injured children.
• Assists students with personal care needs (diapering, feeding, etc.).
• Supports site manager with activities and reinforces learning concepts.
• Maintains records and communicates with teachers and parents.
• Ensures safe, positive learning environments and monitors behavior.
• Prepares snacks and materials; documents progress and reports.
