Grace is seeking a part-time PreK assistant teacher to serve as a long-term substitute at the Eden Prairie Campus. The position runs during September–December 2026 or November 2026–April 2027, with a 12:15–5:45 p.m. schedule, Monday–Friday.

The role supports classroom teaching, documentation, and daily routines while upholding a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, meets licensing requirements, and can engage physically with students indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Support educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist in documenting daily activities and incident/behavior reports.
• Communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support routines and learning environment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom and help with duties to keep the facility orderly.
• Prep learning materials as directed by the teacher.
• Engage with children with Gospel-centered love, respect, and patience.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings; be punctual.
• Foster positive relationships with parents at pick-up.

Job Location: Eden Prairie Campus - EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00Hourly, Part-time

Starting at $18.00/hour (based on education and experience)

Start Date: 9/7/2026 OR 11/2/2026

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grace Beginnings long-term sub is as a PreK assistant teacher (September-December 2026) OR (November 2026-April 2027). This position will be 12:15-5:45 p.m. Monday-Friday. The long-term sub will assume assistant teacher responsibilities in the classroom during the specified months above.

• Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher
• Assist in the completion of documenting daily activities and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment
• Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility.
• Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience
• At pick up foster positive relationships with parents
• Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent
• Attend all required training, staff meetings, or events
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position
• Maintains licensing compliance
• Other duties as assigned
