Job summary

The Goddard School of Matthews, NC is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to join our team. Lead daily activities and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, partnering with families to support each child's growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA certification preferred to support program requirements.
• 1–2 years of recent experience with young children in a licensed setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities and implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open and positive communication with families and guardians.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities to ensure health and safety.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Observe, assess and document children's learning to inform activities.
• Support Assistant and Resource Teachers and collaborate with team.
• Model positive guidance to support social-emotional growth.
