Charlottesville City Schools - Early Learning Center is seeking a Long-Term Substitute PreK Instructional Assistant for the 2026-27 school year. The position requires at least 60 college credits or an associate degree (or ParaPro); strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 60 college credit hours or higher degree, or ParaPro Assessment achieved.
• Ability to follow instructional plans and IEPs where applicable.
• Strong written and verbal communication; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teacher with instruction and student management.
• Assist individually or in groups to reinforce concepts.
• Administer tests and collect attendance and lunch data.
• Maintain orderly classroom environment and materials.
• Participate in team meetings and support health-related duties as directed.
• Assist with field trips, library, and other activities as needed.
