Job summary

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit #23 is hiring a PreK Counts Family Engagement Worker for the Office of Early Childhood Services. This full-time role supports families with children ages 3-5, conducts home visits, referrals, and coordinates parent involvement activities.

Responsibilities include intake processing, case management, network referrals, and documentation, with a focus on health/nutrition collaboration and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must have PA driver’s license and own transportation.
• Experience in social services preferred.
• Ability to work with young children and diverse families.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Clearances: child abuse, criminal history and FBI fingerprinting within the year.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake with families and maintain child/family information in the program database.
• Case management and file maintenance for students/centers and health information.
• Report suspected child abuse to supervisor.
• Maintain ongoing contact with families and conduct home visits as needed.
• Assist with Parent Involvement activities, trainings, and orientations.
• Support Center Council and Policy Council activities and notify parents of meetings.
• Attend health advisory committee and coordinate with service area specialists.
• Maintain confidentiality.
