Job summary

Abraham Lincoln School in Bangor, ME is seeking a PreK Educational Technician to support our youngest learners. You will work with the classroom teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment, assist with instruction, supervision, daily routines, and social-emotional development.

The ideal candidate will have an Educational Technician II or III certification (or ability to obtain) and current CHRC/fingerprint clearance, with experience working with young children.

Qualifications

• Educational Technician II or III certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Current CHRC/fingerprint clearance through the Maine DOE
• Experience working with young children preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the PreK teacher to support classroom instruction and activities
• Provide small group and one-on-one student support
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, and meal times
• Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and daily routines
• Support students' self-help, social, and behavioral development
• Maintain a warm, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor
